Bridge House

This two-bedroom house in rural Rappahannock County, Virginia spans 200 feet across a valley, looking north toward Skyline Drive, and south toward the town of Little Washington.
A  porte-cochere and a terrace with a pool are captured under the roof, which stretches the entire width of the valley. The span is anchored by a guest house at one end and a garage at the other.

Ample windows to the south gather sun and view, while a series of projecting boxes on the north side contain the master bath, an inglenook and a kitchen bay. One more box rides above the roof to take in the views up and down the valley.
